12:30 – 1:00 – Welcome and Introduction of Blind Citizens Australia President Emma Bennison (Tasmania) and CEO Leah Van Poppel (Victoria).
1:00 – 1:45an – Concurrent Sessions
NDIS / WA NDIS with special guests Marita Walker (National Disability Insurance Agency), Pamela Toster (WA NDIS), Grace King (Consumer / Planner with NDIS) and Pam Barras (Consumer, WA NDIS).
OR
Stay On Your Feet – an interactive presentation with peer volunteer Levit from the Injury Control Council of WA covering nutrition, exerise, medication and ways to prevent falls.
1:45 – 2:15 – Specialist Services for People Who Are Blind or Vision Impaired with special guests Kary Macliver (Visability), Greer Gerson and Greg Madson (Vision Australia), and Matthew Wittorff (Senses Australia).as well as Blind Citizens Australia Executive Officer Leah Van Poppel and President Emma Bennison.
Concurrent Workshops – 2:45pm – 3:45pm
How Do We Hold Our Heads High? – A group discussion led by BCA Women’s Branch and BCWA Member Karen Passmore.
Or
Men’s Sheds and More with BCWA Member Trevor Dawson.
3:45 – 4:00 – Afternoon Tea.
